To address the extreme wear challenges posed by high-impact and large-particle materials during concrete pumping, Kingcera, in collaboration with Tsinghua University and other material research institutions, has successfully developed ARZ reinforced zirconia ceramics specifically designed for heavy-duty conveying conditions such as pump truck elbows. While maintaining extremely high hardness, this material significantly improves fracture toughness, achieving a perfect balance between “wear resistance” and “impact resistance.”

Advantages of Core Indicators:

Hardness ≥ HRA88 / Hv10 ≥ 1200: Far exceeds that of traditional manganese steel (HRA ≈ 60–70) and high-chromium cast iron (HRA ≈ 75–80), effectively resisting sand and gravel erosion.

Fracture Toughness ≥ 7.0 MPa•m¹/²: 2 to 3 times that of ordinary alumina ceramics, capable of withstanding transient impact loads during pumping without easily cracking or spalling.

Why choose ARZ instead of ordinary alumina ceramics for wear-resistant pump truck elbows?

Although ordinary alumina ceramics are hard, they are brittle and prone to microcrack propagation in high-frequency impact environments like pump truck elbows, leading to premature failure. In contrast, ARZ significantly enhances material toughness by introducing zirconia toughening mechanisms (phase transformation toughening and microcrack toughening), enabling it to achieve an optimal balance between “high hardness and high toughness,” making it particularly suitable for the complex “abrasion and impact” conditions of concrete pumping.
